An elegant interface allows users to effortlessly browse nineteen featured works from the exhibition.
As told by the Great Britons web site: "The images featured in the exhibition were chosen by the National Portrait Gallery, London, to show the range of people the gallery celebrates as well as the array of great works and media in its collection. The exhibition also serves to underscore the strong link between the United States and the United Kingdom, and celebrates national portrait galleries everywhere."
Exploring the Images
Developed in Flash, a seamless interactive experience provides information about each of the featured works and the artists who created them. Many of the pieces provide a "View Larger Image" option, which allows users to scale and pan the images for greater detail. An HTML alternative is served to users without the Flash plugin.
