ReStore Restock
Habitat for Humanity International
From www.habitat.org:
Habitat ReStores are retail outlets where quality used and surplus building materials are sold at a fraction of normal prices. Proceeds from ReStores help local affiliates fund the construction of Habitat houses within the community.
In ReStore Restock, help keep ReStore customers satisfied by restocking supplies to the appropriate shelves as they arrive.
Developing the Concept
Habitat wanted a fun game that featured ReStore retail outlets and provided a tangible—albeit virtual—means of engaging youth in the experience. We arrived at a puzzle-like side-scroller where the character must correctly restock supplies in order to prevent confused customers from piling up at the register.
Production
We were responsible for all aspects of production, from concept creation through design, illustration, and game development. During the process we invited frequent feedback and discussion from Habitat, and made iterations as appropriate.
