The Mariners' Museum
The Mariners’ Museum is the largest maritime history museum in North America. In mid-2005 we were contracted to redesign the museum’s extensive Age of Exploration online exhibit. We created a new look and feel for the site, produced it in XHTML/CSS, developed an in-depth interactive map of voyage routes, and created two Flash games to accompany the content.
Voyage Map Interactive Application
We created a Flash application to trace the voyages of exploration through time. The interface combines an interactive world map and timeline to provide comparative context for voyages. Content is published to the application via FlightDeck, our content publication system.
Online Games
Two online games extend the learning experience of the online exhibit. We proposed the concepts, refined them through collaboration with the client, and created all aspects of the games.
