Stanford Drupal Camp 2014

Aten is proud to help support Stanford Drupal Camp 2014 again this year. The Camp features introductory content on Friday for those interested in seeing Drupal's potential in action at Stanford. Saturday packs in more in-depth content for a more experienced Drupal audience.

Several Aten folks will be speaking at the event. On Friday at 2 PM, Aten's Lead Front-end Developer John Ferris will be presenting Custom Themes without the Custom Theme: Pushing the Visual Style of Stanford Sites. John will detail our approach to creating beautiful and engaging designs on the University's Stanford Sites platform, along with our work with Stanford's Bio-X.

Friday at 3 PM, VP of Technology Scott Reynen and I will be talking about our work with Stanford Alumni Association's presidential events series, Stanford+Connects, in our session entitled Stanford+Connects: Building A Custom User Experience on a Solid Drupal Platform. We'll look at how Aten used Drupal's available modules and core functionality to build and deploy the initial platform quickly, while Drupal's extensibility empowered our team to create a customized user experience tailored for these high-profile events.

Developer Joe Crespo, will be presenting Beginning Module Development on Saturday at 1 PM. Joe will give his introduction to module development from the perspective of someone "scratching their own itch," the motivation for most open source contributions.

If you're coming to the Camp, come see us. We'll be in one of these great sessions, or at the Aten booth with sketchbooks. See you there!
